Invicta Fighting Championships is looking to end its 2016 with a bang, announcing two title fights for its Nov. 18 card in Kansas City, Missouri.
Invicta FC bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger faces Yana Kunitskaya in the main event. The night’s co-main event Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela hill, who defends her crown against Kaline Medeiros. Both bouts were announced by the promotion Thursday afternoon.
Evinger comes into the bout riding a nine-fight winning streak, having most recently defended her title in a five-round unanimous decision over Colleen Schneider at Invicta FC 17 in May. It was the second time she defended the belt, about eight months removed from her first title defense over Pannie Kianzad.
Hailing from Russia with a 9-2 pro record, Kunitskaya looks to make her promotional debut with Invicta. The 26-year-old bantamweight has seven victories via knockout or TKO stoppage.
Hill, meanwhile, rides a three-fight winning streak since departing from the UFC and making her Invicta FC debut in January 2016. She looks to go 4-0 when she meets her first title challenger. She last fought at Invicta FC 17, defeating former champion Livia Renata Souza in a five-round split-decision upset.
Medeiros is 8-4 as a pro, but is 5-0 since April 2015. She last fought at Invicta FC 19 in September, besting Majint Kolekar via unanimous decision.
