Knockout News Alert!
Extra, extra, read all about it!
[Editor’s Note: Seriously, Joey? What are we in a 1940s Superman comic?]
Daniel Bryan and Kane are scheduled to kick the s–t out of each other tonight in a Casket Match! The point of said match is to incapacitate your opponent so tremendously, that he or she cannot stop you from dumping him or her in a casket and closing the lid. The symbolism is strong with this encounter, folks! Daniel Bryan recently made his return to the company, after being out for quite some time, due to a neck injury. Now that he’s back, are they saying his career is soon to be dead and buried?
Or… did they partner Daniel Bryan with an old friend for a while, so that they can be sure his neck is repaired? Think about it: if he gets injured again, regardless of they’re involvement, the WWE is going to be blamed for pushing him back into the ring. I didn’t agree with them bouncing him from the Royal Rumble super early, but I do agree with testing him with Kane for a bit, before Daniel Bryan can move on.
Doesn’t bother me. They were Team Hell No! They know how to work together, and given their size difference, there is an inherent David vs. Goliath story waiting to be told every time they step in a ring opposite one another. I can’t wait to see how it turns out tonight!
