As the phrase goes, if there’s smoke, there’s fire. In the case of the smoke surrounding a potential relationship between UFC heavyweight Travis Browne and UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, there’s fire.
Rumors of their relationship surfaced a few months back, when his estranged wife Jenna Webb said the two were dating while accusing Browne of domestic violence. UFC officials hired third-party investigators to determine the validity of the case, which led to no conclusive evidence of any wrongdoing on Browne’s part.
Well, no physical wrongdoing, anyway.
“Dating is for children,” Browne said on The MMA Hour Monday. “Dating is for kids. Over the summer, through all the s–t that I had to shuffle through, that I had to sift through, Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer and I’ll say now that we are together. She’s my woman and I’m her man. There’s no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There’s no dating. We’re together.”
Rousey and Browne train together at Glendale Fighting Club in Los Angeles. The UFC queen is about a month away from making her latest title defense against Holly Holm at UFC 194, while “Hapa” is scheduled to face Matt Mitrione at UFC Fight Night on Jan. 17, 2016 at the TD Garden in Boston.
