Even Floyd “Money” Mayweather can’t believe Nick Diaz was suspended for five years, it seems.
Mayweather, who recently finished his undefeated career against Andre Berto earlier this month, briefly offered his thoughts on Diaz’s situation — a situation he isn’t very familiar with, based on his nonverbal reactions when speaking with the Mayweather Boxing Channel.
“Huh?!” Mayweather exclaimed when hearing about the five-year suspension.

“Let that man smoke weed [and] enjoy his life,” Mayweather said.
Keep in mind, “Money” wasn’t even told about how much money was taken out of Diaz’s pocket as a result of the failed test. The commission had Diaz pay a 33 percent of the $500,000 purse he earned when fighting former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva in January, amounting to $165,000.
While widely criticized for his out-the-ring behavior, Mayweather never failed a drug test in his 19-year career. Good for Mayweather, considering 33 percent of his last purse against Berto would have equaled roughly $10.5 million. That’s nothing compared to 33 percent of what he earned in the Pacquiao fight — a bout that’s currently in question for the wrongful usage of a non-approved IV. One-third of Mayweather’s earnings in that bout comes out to a whopping $39.6 million.
