Don’t get too excited though. Complex completely wasted a gigantic opportunity to ask any hard questions of Manny Pacquiao. They entire thing has an amateurish feel, like its one small step up from a TMZ guy catching him in the street. Pacquiao looks sharp as ever, while the hoodied host, Sean Evans talks into an echo-laden mic with a non-conversational tone asking questions that would fit better in People magazine, like, “Does Mayweather annoy you on a personal level?” Ok, let’s cut him some slack, he was probably nervous. There I go being mean again!
Of course, the always-classy PacMan said, “No, he’s my friend and he’s also my friend and brother in Christ.” Having heard all of his post-fight interviews, I wouldn’t expect a response any different than that.
At least some information gets through, though, thus the point of making this article.
“Is this as close as it’s ever been [to making the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight]?”
Manny confirmed that his end of the deal is done, and that he is waiting for Floyd Mayweather to okay the paperwork on his end. As I reported already, Sam Watson revealed that Mayweather Promotion’s side of the deal is currently being finished up. Manny’s disposition was that the fight would happen, answering, politically, that he hopes nothing goes wrong for the fans.
