Ask and you shall receive.
Well, as long as the one asking is Paige VanZant and the one being asked is the UFC.
According to a report on UFC Tonight, the 21-year-old strawweight said she wanted a new contract with Zuffa. Not only that, but she wanted to lock in her next fight, too.
One day later and all was settled.

VanZant, whose popularity skyrocketed shortly after her UFC debut against Kailin Curran last November, is currently pegged by many as the future face of the women’s division. That’s the industry speculation, at least, based on what lengths the UFC and its apparel sponsor have gone to ensure the Team Alpha Male female has a path toward success in mixed martial arts.
“Listen, people love that girl. She has a great personality — I don’t know if you saw the Instagram of her dancing out in front of her car. That’s awesome,” Dana White told UFC.com. “She has the personality. Some people have that “it factor” that you can’t teach people, and Paige has it.”
The sixth-ranked female 115-pound fighter did not announce who she’d be fighting next. If seventh-ranked Randa Markos has her way, she’ll be the one standing across the cage from “12-Gauge” next time out.
