Gamers rejoice as the latest pro wrestling video game in the 2K series, WWE 2K16, was officially released in North America on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on Tuesday. The game releases internationally on Friday.
This year’s version touts the largest roster of wrestlers ever and used fan-favorite former wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin as its primary promotional piece.
“WWE 2K16 builds upon last year’s foundation and delivers a great combination of authenticity, realism, gameplay and popular features,” Visual Concepts president Greg Thomas said in a statement. “This year’s huge roster, memorable 2K Showcase, second year MyCareer offering, additions to Creation Suite and improved Online offerings are certain to ignite the WWE Universe.”
